Gloria Weller

Background: Associated with the District Attorney`s Office in both Elko, Nevada and Ogden, Utah, involving criminal, civil and governmental law prior to moving to Santa Barbara, California, where she worked in private practice offices and the West Coast Legal Division of Curtiss-Wright Corporation specializing in major U.S. Government contracts for the development of missile defense systems. After relocation to the Los Angeles area, she established her own Legal Secretarial Support Office maintaining a client list of attorneys practicing in various fields of law.

In 1974, Ms. Weller joined the founding partners of Engstrom Lipscomb & Lack in the organization of the firm. She serves as the Director of Administration and manages all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the law office.

John Alva

Background: John Alva attended Eastern Arizona College, and joined the U.S. Naval Aviation Services in 1962. He served as an Air Crewman, Flight Engineer for multi-engine aircraft and saw combat duty in the Vietnam conflict. On his return to civilian life, Mr. Alva accepted a management position at National Insurance Company. He joined Engstrom, Lipscomb & Lack in 1985 as Litigation Support. In that capacity, Mr. Alva has brought his management skills to a broad spectrum of cases on an international scale.

His accomplishments include the coordination and management of many major automobile and commercial cases, products and premise liability cases, toxic tort and mass aviation claims, throughout the world. Mr. Alva now leads support services in international toxic contamination cases, international aviation cases and in other major tort litigation. Today, Engstrom, Lipscomb & Lack enjoys an international reputation in these fields in large part as a result of his dedication and efforts.
