Gary Praglin has been with the firm for 36 years.  He received his undergraduate degree in English Literature from UCLA in 1978 and his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law at Los Angeles in 1981.  He was admitted to the California Bar in 1981.

He is an experienced trial attorney who specializes in complex consumer cases, including personal injury, wrongful death, toxic environmental exposures, tobacco related illnesses and financial losses.  Mr. Praglin spent over 10 years on the team representing the plaintiffs in the litigation against PGE arising from chromium 6 contamination in Hinkley, California, that was made the subject of the movie Erin Brockovich.  Mr. Praglin has tried numerous cases to verdict over the years and has handled cases resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars of recovery for injured victims.  These cases have included cancer, burns, broken bones, loss of limb, loss of sight, loss of life and loss of financial security.  Mr. Praglin has handled numerous pro bono cases over the course of his career, in an effort to give back to the system.

In addition to practicing law at the firm, Mr. Praglin supervises the firm’s paralegals, who provide invaluable litigation support to the firm’s large scale litigation.

Mr. Praglin has appeared before the California Legislature, and has spoken at Los Angeles area schools regarding the effect of industry funded scientific publications on public health and consumer litigation.  He is a member of Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, Consumers Attorneys of California and has been involved in the CAALA Mentor program.

Gary is married and has two sons, 22 and 15.
